Digital surpasses print to develop 2nd major advertising medium after TV

The advertising sector is estimated to grow 10.7% in the year. It is estimated that digital media grows 26% and exceeds traditional media, such as TV, radio, and outdoor advertising, which grows 7 to 8% per year. Spending on digital media ads was 22,057 million more than spending on printing in 2019, making it the second-largest advertising medium in India after television. A GroupM report also found that 27% of all advertising spend in 2019 went to digital media platforms, while 22% went to print publications. The report notes that it must be the fastest-growing advertising market in the world. GroupM expects advertising investment in India to reach $ 91,641 million by 2020. Of that total, 30% or 27,803 million is earned by digital media companies and about 42% or 38,081 million is spent on television, and 20% or 18.140 million must be invested in the printed paper.
