Advertising Association puts the limelight on concern and trust

Brands, media owners, and politicians support initiatives to place responsibility at the center of the UK advertising industry, as the Advertising Association announces a new focus on its annual LEAD Summit. In its mission statement, the Advertising Association is now committed to “promoting the role and rights of responsible advertising and its value to people, society, businesses and the economy”. Provide leadership and guidance on the standards required for advertising in the UK, including the development of a new Industry Accountability Framework and the formation of new working groups on issues such as climate change. Restoring confidence in UK advertising through the implementation of the Trust Action Plan, including Credos’ new report, Advertising Pays 8, which examines the social contribution of the industry and how it affects public confidence.
