TX Whiskey, owned by Pernod Ricard, has teamed up with actor Scoot McNairy (“Narcos” and “Argo”) for a series of venues aimed at millennial consumers, while also distinguishing itself as a Texas-exclusive brand.
The ads show McNairy, a Texas native, sipping a glass of whiskey on the rocks among a diverse group of people, wrapping it with the keyword “Our whiskey, our way.” The new ads were co-produced with advertising company Tombras and filmed at TX Whiskey’s Whiskey Ranch Distillery. The hostile environment is meant to evoke feelings of independence and the spirit of Texas.
Lasting six or fifteen seconds, the six new spots will be broadcast on digital and social channels.

“Texans will always be attracted to brands that are authentic Texan; brands they can call their own. TX Whiskey is still a young brand and there is still some work to be done to prove our Texan authenticity,” said Forbus.
